Broken 03:10
Now I've fallen And this twistedness Is all I think about Stumble blindly As I turn my eyes away from God And as I search for restitution God I see You're the only solution Choking on utter failure Oh God were have I gone? Deep depression in my weak flesh And now I know why I feel so alone Pain Hopelessness Despair Because it's so far in me Because I'll never be free until I give this all up Until I give it up to you Take my broken life Take my bleeding heart It's all yours It's all yours Without His grace You can't find out
2.
Reality 05:31
Good morning Wake up It's almost time for dinner You are sinking You are drowning And you call yourself a swimmer Why are you doing this to yourself Open your eyes Look at me It's time for you to face reality Your falling And calling All the way You'll hit rock bottom Any day You say you just wanna be different Well I think you've accomplished that Stuck in a mental hospital What do you say to that Look at you You can't stand up And you're acting like it's all a joke Your saying Try some of this As you roll another smoke Why are you this to yourself Open your ears listen to me It is time for you to face reality I can see the tears as they roll down your face I can see your eyes as you spit in my face I can see your tears I can see your tears Bury yourself in self-hate At any rate Give yourself a chance for change The rest can be rearranged
3.
Freedom from death This gift of life You're dying there In the public's eyes Hold up your hand In you go Pointing the way But still I fall Pour out your blood A slap in the face And you look down in love We stare down in fate THIS SICKNESS So twisted You cut me when You stay Give me your hand Help me to stand

about

Elijah's Tomb released their second independent demo EP in 2000 - "This Sickness." With Dean stepping down just before recording, Nathanael took on all lead vocal duties and the band seasoned their hardcore metal stew with more of thrash and classic influences. "Reality" marks the first time future bass player Melissa contributed - she provided the song's lyrics.

The power trio line-up of Nathanael, Anthony and Marcel would hold steady until 2003, when Anthony and his hair took off to Edmonton. During that time they played all over Alberta and down the west coast into California.
